What a gem! This historic hotel has been done up to include all the modern features, but with the charm and elegance of former days. Beautiful hardwood floors, lovely ocean views, rockers on the porch, hot cookies or an ice cream bar and some of the friendliest, most helpful staff around. Everyone was quick to smile and offer a hand or advice. Steps from Marginal Way and the trolley stop. Pool maintained for those who don’t like to get sandy. The bed was lovely after a day of exploring, and the bath products (Salt and Stone) smell divine!
We had such a wonderful time in Ogunquit and our stay at the Colonial Inn! We visited in June 2025 for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The inn's location on Shore Road is perfect—easy to reach the charming town’s restaurants and shops, beach as well as Marginal Way all by foot. Everyone on the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The inn is very clean, and the beds are super comfortable. We appreciated the free breakfast each morning, which offered a nice variety including hard-boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, juices, muffins and bagels. In addition, coffee and water are available in the lobby 24/7, and the main area has plenty of seating along with games, a baby grand piano and even free ice cream and cookies! The front wrap around porch was so nice to eat outside or just relax on a rocking chair enjoying the grounds. The manager, Ashley, was especially welcoming and friendly, and the rest of the staff—Phillip at the front desk, Nathan in the breakfast room, and the cleaning and maintenance crews—were all so kind and helpful. Overall, our experience at the Colonial Inn was fantastic, and we look forward to returning!
Great service, clean, water, coffee in the front, have a pool, hot tub and a fireplace. They make cookies for free from 2-4 pm for guests. Steps from Marginal way and lots of shops/restaurants near by as well as icecream shops. Near by other cool towns to stay busy. Parking on site and kiddo friendly.
