Colonna Resort A Colonna Luxury Beach Hotel Porto Cervo

We had an amazing stay at Colonna Resort and would absolutely come back again. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and always professional. Our room was always fully stocked with fresh towels, which was a huge plus. The pool area is where this place really shines. There are several pools spread across the resort, so it never felt crowded. We were often floating around with just a few people nearby, making it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The poolside service was also excellent—quick, kind, and hassle-free. The resort was spotless, and everything felt fresh and clean. The food was another highlight, especially the breakfast buffet included with the stay. Tons of variety and all very tasty. If you’re looking for a relaxing, upscale vacation in Porto Cervo, this is the place. 10/10.

The one and most important advantage of this hotel in summer is beach - very nice, beautiful and fully private (no other people except hotel guests), party sandy (ok for kids without shoes) and party with wooden platform (ideal for adults). We had junior suit which is nice with super view from all 3 (!) balconies. It needs to be mentioned there is no elevator to that level, so not ok for kid's strollers. Disadvantages which we recommend to improve: - food (especially in pool bar and in the evening) needs to be improved! It's not Italian level:( The same for dinner - not tasty. There are lot's of nice restaurants just 5-15 minutes by car. - Room cleaning needs to be more careful - for example they never cleaned the balcony. But thanks for changing towels twice per day! - No shower on the beach! Just small shower for feet. The closest shower is near swimming pools and it's very difficult to access with small kids. Please do normal shower on beach! - Only drinks available on the beach. It would be nice to have some simple food like sandwiches as well. - Wifi is terrible, we tried to connect several times, asked reception for help but unsuccessful. Either bed connection (not ok for work) or no connection at all.

I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel is rated 5 stars. My stay was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable from start to finish. • Reception staff: The only decent part of the experience. They were polite and respectful. • Other staff: Rude and completely unprofessional. They speak to guests with no manners or courtesy. • Cleanliness: Housekeeping is a joke. Rooms are barely cleaned — just quick surface work, nothing thorough. • Privacy violation: This was the most shocking part. Housekeeping would knock once and immediately enter the room without waiting. One staff member walked in while I was changing clothes — no apologies, no shame. It’s unacceptable and shows complete disregard for guest privacy. • Noise: Rooms have zero soundproofing. You can hear everything happening in the hallways and neighboring rooms. • Basic amenities: No complimentary bottled water provided — you have to pay for even the most basic necessities. • Breakfast: Very limited options and poor quality. Doesn’t match the expectations of a 5-star hotel at all. • Star rating: Honestly, this hotel shouldn’t even be 2 stars. One star is generous for the experience I had. 🔹 Only positive: The air conditioning worked well. I absolutely do NOT recommend this hotel. It was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
