Columbia Club

AC was broken and looking at the other reviews seems like it’s been broken for a while. The lobby has an awesome vibe to it but then you get to your room and realize that it hasn’t been renovated in 50 years, at least. Asked for some extra pillows but apparently there were no more available? The shower is incredibly dangerous. Huge unexpected swings in the temperature of the water. From scolding hot to freezing cold. Washing my face was a gamble every time. No fridge in the room so don’t expect to bring back leftovers home. No water refill station so you’re either drinking the tap water or buying a water bottle from the vending machine. Ohh also all the “club” members are incredibly rude to the people staying in the hotel. Good luck

We waited 15 minutes on the front desk to find our reservation while staff had a negative attitude about assisting us. This must be why the front desk woman doesn’t wear a name tag. While this was a small hiccup to me, the experience didn’t improve from this point. Our room didn’t have air conditioning, it was 78 the entire time. The “fan” was noisy and didn’t move much air if any. The bathroom counter had coffee grounds on it from the last guest. Most of the rooms have NO VIEW. The valet was extremely short staffed that it took over 25 minutes for them to pull my truck around. This is unacceptable, especially since PARKING COST $50!!!! The staff didn’t offer to comp anything or apologize. They really didn’t seem to care. When they did locate our truck and pull it around, we were raced through a back entrance that consisted of several stairs and doors slamming on us as we tried to keep up with the valet man. The Columbia Club property got their non-refundable charge from us, and that’s all they cared about. The location was the only nice thing about the place. Stay at the Marriott if you want to be treated with any basic respect as a guest or human that exists. I feel like we wasted our money and will never go back.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The front desk took over 15 minutes to find my reservation, there wasn’t anyone else in line. We remained patient as this is a minor hiccup, however it doesn’t get better from here. We’re a couple looking forward to our get away weekend without our kiddos, and this was NOT IT. The rooms are not even close to the quality you should be getting for what they cost. THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING! We woke up several times sweating. The room’s temperature literally stayed at 78 the entire night (see photos). There is a fan, which moves little to no air. The valet was short staffed so badly that we waited over 25 minutes to get our truck from valet. This caused us to be late for our plans to breakfast. We had no time to meet with family at all because of short staffing which is ridiculous. The front desk couldn’t have cared less and the valet raced us out the back entrance down several stairs so fast I almost fell multiple times. No refund, no comps, no apology. Just getting raced out of the building. Save your money and stay at the Marriott, that has been my best experience yet.
