Combe Grove

The hotel is in a good location for getting to the city centre, although the walk back from the city is a long uphill drag. However, the frequent 31 bus service stops outside. On site car parking was useful and the daily parking supplement understandable. The room was spacious with a great garden view. The only negative was the shower: a bit eccentric to operate and difficult to get hot water, despite it being available in the hand basin! I liked the fact that the breakfast menu was varied and individually priced. The restaurant also offers good choices for dinner. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

A beautiful hotel. Incredibly clean and well maintained. Sam and his staff are amazing. My room spacious and comfortable. Sams passion for excellence is clearly evident, especially the menus and quality and presentation of the food. I highly recommend the Lansdown Grove Hotel. Thank you Sam for looking after us. Big, big hill to the city. But a lovely quaint hotel. Clean, good shower, great beds. Bit loud early morning roadside but otherwise quite. Staff were brilliant Would recommend .Only dropped a star for the walk up the hill...Twice..
