Comfort Inn Cairns City

Our recent stay was fantastic, especially given our long, 19-hour journey with three flights. We arrived exhausted, but the woman at the front desk was incredibly understanding and checked us in immediately since our room was ready. This allowed us to get a much-needed power nap right away. The rooms were clean, and while the pink bathroom tiles felt a little dated, everything was clean and well-maintained. The service truly sets this place apart. On the day of our check-out, with a late flight home at 6.30 p.m., they even offered us a fresh towel so we could shower at 4.30 p.m. and feel refreshed for our trip. I mentioned to a staff member how impressed I was with the cleanliness and service, and he explained that they were the new owners. He said they had recently 'renovated' the property by cleaning and painting all the rooms and upgrading most of the air conditioning units. It's clear they are dedicated to guest comfort, and it shows in every detail. They are also in the process of renovating the rooms, starting with the most outdated ones. The swimming pools are clean but not heated, but the nearby Esplanade was so close (11min walk)that we went there for a swim instead." It's located a 10-minute walk from the center and just a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport.

Family of four adults comfortably fit into a large room. Amenities were good. Mattresses were too soft. Could be better

DON'T RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. family and i stayed here for a couple nights, the older gentleman is very kind same with the younger woman that sits in the middle. on the other hand the cranky old lady in glasses with white hair in the office is INCREDIBLY DISRESPECTFUL. had attitude when we asked for new towels and we were never given washcloths so we kindly asked for some. she lied and said she can’t get them but they were right behind her the whole time. every time we talked to her she would have a condescending tone back and one of the others stepped in and helped us. she told us housekeeping would give us new stuff and instead of reaching behind her (like the others did) to get us towels she told us to wait very rudely. not sure what we did to make her talk to us like that. Edit to her response : we did not put the sign up. we were given no washcloths. my point was to just stop being rude :/
