Commodore Airport Hotel

I had a very smooth and pleasant stay at the Commodore Airport Hotel in Christchurch. The free airport shuttle service was a huge bonus—quick, convenient, and very much appreciated after a late-night flight. Despite arriving around midnight, check-in was seamless and welcoming. My room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with a very cozy bed and a modern, well-appointed bathroom. I didn’t have time to explore all the amenities, but my friend who stayed an extra night raved about the hotel’s restaurant—especially the food and attentive service. I’d love to return and stay a bit longer next time to fully enjoy everything this lovely hotel has to offer. Highly recommended for convenience, comfort, and great service!

This hotel is great and has all the amenities I need- staff are friendly, beds are comfy, gym is well equipped, pool spa and sauna are awesome and the breakfast is worth the money. I would definitely recommend the business premium rooms if you need a bit more space for work or study or wanting a bit more of a lux experience. I forgot we are even close to the airport as it's so quiet and relaxed. I will definitely be staying here again and recommending to friends.

I attended a workshop for work and stayed one night (Room 132) at this hotel as well. The locality of the hotel is good, not too far from the airport and the hotel provides free shuttle service if you have accommodation booked with them (although we did not avail this service). The reception area is welcoming and staff are attentive. The meeting rooms are well equipped. We had breakfast once and lunch twice at the restaurant. Lunch buffet options were amazing and cater for dietary needs. Breakfast options are good too, you can choose between the continental, buffet or order from their menu. I stayed in the standard room. Room was of quite a decent size (at par of some luxury hotel rooms), well made and clean. You can tell some parts of the room are slightly dated but bathroom area seemed to have been refurbished as the area was spotless and tiles were very clean. Something which surprised me was the sink and vanity area outside of the bathroom which I actually liked as you have plenty of room to keep your amenities and you have a huge mirror to use in front of you. The bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep well. The TV has basic channels but is of good size. Overall I enjoyed my stay and work trip at the Commodore Airport Hotel, highly recommend!
