A True Maldivian Gem – Serene, Luxurious, Unforgettable COMO Cocoa Island exceeded every expectation. From the short, scenic boat ride from Malé airport to the moment we stepped into our overwater villa, everything was flawless. The serenity, the service, the design—it’s luxury that whispers, never shouts. The food is phenomenal. The chefs are passionate and creative, offering everything from health-focused Shambhala dishes (like açai bowls and plant-based meals) to Michelin-worthy tasting menus. Every meal was a delight, especially under the stars or watching the sunset from the covered outdoor dining area. The house reef is among the best in the Maldives—vibrant and alive. We’ve visited many luxury resorts over the years, and the snorkel gear here is by far the best we’ve used. Every detail is top-tier: linens, towels, spa, yoga, hydrotherapy pool, and even the transfers. The staff—especially our butler Bino—were warm, professional, and intuitive. COMO Cocoa Island offers a unique blend of privacy and community. Many guests are return visitors (we even witnessed a beautiful birthday celebration with international guests), which says a lot. And special thanks to the incredible medical team on-site who helped us with care and grace. If you're a discerning traveler seeking peace, wellness, and natural beauty—this is the Maldives resort to choose. We’re already planning our return.

COMO Cocoa is a truly stunning and exceptional resort — I first visited in 2022 and returned in 2025. On my 11 Maldives trips, this is the first resort I’ve visited twice. Como cocoa feels like a scene straight out of a movie. It’s incredibly peaceful, quiet, and breathtakingly beautiful, with a pristine lagoon and powdery white sandbank. The house reef is good for snorkeling. Nearby, there are world-class dive sites like Kandooma Thila, where you can encounter a lots of grey reef sharks and eagle rays. Dining at COMO Cocoa is impressive. The quality of the food are outstanding, and the service adds to the overall luxurious experience. COMO Cocoa is one of my favorite places in all of the Maldives. Highly recommended.

It is difficult to find the words to describe just how good the COMO Cocoa Island resort is.The island is very small but perfectly formed. We had booked to go to the Maldives for a Music In Paradise event, so cannot claim to have found ourselves here due to exhaustive research, but rather as the most alluring option for the package we chose. But what a wonderful outcome as our stay was just perfect. COMO Cocao Island is an exercise in offering understated luxury. It is so incredibly well run and the excellent staff work so well as a team that they make looking after you and catering to your needs seem so effortless when it is surely due to much hard work behind the scenes. There are only just over 30 villas but even if the island is booked out it feels very private. There are a lot of activities on offer, including three amzing house reefs to snorkel. Morning starts with Yoga helped to get the day off to a great start. It is amazing just to be able to swim in the sea directly from your villa. If you are a foodie then this romantic island is a real treat and the chef and kitchen staff are incredibly talented and offer up truly delicious fare, with nightly specials to keep the menu options dynamic. Ravi at the bar is master at mixing cocktails - we recommend you ask him for suggestions as some of the most tasty concoctions are not listed on the menu. We had a unforgettable stay and are already plotting our return (Arta - you are warned!)
