Como Uma Ubud

Wanting to gatekeep this hidden gem but I think it’s worth it to give it a shout. Best luxury hotel in Ubud and not crazy expensive, food earned top marks for all meals, garden pool villa was pristinely spotless and bedding was exquisite. The landscaping throughout the hotel was well thought through and atmosphere was serene amidst the crazy Ubud traffic chaos. The entire team made us feel so at home and service was absolutely top notch and heartfelt. The front desk led by Dwi and Uma Bar staff were friendly and we always looked forward to our meals there. Massage at the COMO Shambhala was excellent and great value, at way lower price than other COMO hotels. One downside though, the hotel is situated in a natural environment with insects and lizards, sometimes even frogs but you would never be bothered by them. Highly recommend, a true gem in Ubud.

This place was amazing and next to a lot of restaurants. The fruit is safe to eat, and the ice is made with filtered water! We loved the breakfasts the most! The room we had was clean. It took my wife some getting used to the outdoor shower... and outdoor showers come with outdoor bugs, but still a great place. There was one fresh squeeze fruit juice that didn't sit too well with me for 5 minutes, but other than that funny feeling, nothing came from it, so it's still a win in my book.

This hotel is an oasis of peace, beauty, and thoughtful design. The entire space radiates serenity and every corner is curated with care: from the tranquil gardens to the calming rooms. What truly sets it apart is the staff: their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail are truly impeccable. The food is outstanding, with an abundance of healthy, delicious options - after eating out a few times I realized I was better off staying in (Como Cucina next-door is equally great). Their day trips and activities are also exceptional, led by attentive and well-prepared staff who tailor the experience to your pace and interests. Everything felt curated without ever being over the top. I left feeling rested, nourished, and deeply grateful.
