Lovely guest house with friendly host. Lovely accommodation. Interesting gardens. Nice pool. Fantastic views. It's a bit of a drive out of the town, but you get there in the end!

An unforgettable stay in a fabulous place. Conacul Malul Alb is an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived I felt at home - or perhaps better, like if I were in a luxurious Romanian mansion with a soul. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and helpful, always smiling and ready to take care of the smallest details. The rooms are decorated with great taste - clean, spacious and very comfortable. Every detail has been thought through here, combining modern comfort with traditional charm. The surroundings are beautiful - perfect for walking, relaxing and getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In the morning I was woken up by birdsong. Breakfast - sensational! Probably one of the best spots in Romania. Amazing location (don't get scared by reviews saying you need a 4x4, I have a very low clearance car and acces was very easy), superb accommodation with many hidden spots perfect for relaxing (by the pool, by the pond, next to the wine cellar etc). I particularly enjoyed the open air "living room", with fireplace and all. The big surprise however came from the owners. Very warm, very open - we felt like visiting friends. The home made dishes were so tasty, the local wine selection just right - and we've learned so much about various plants, flowers and trees you wouldn't believe. Most highly recommended!
