Congress Hotel Mercure Nürnberg an der Messe

Great hotel, located right next to a gorgeous park with beautiful lakes and stunning views. Rooms are quiet with comfortable bedding. The breakfast room is large with variety of seating options. Breakfast is superb - my favorite was the salmon and the Prosecco. It runs till quite late. There’s a bar open at night. The hotel also features a sauna, located downstairs. My only complain was the mobile reception - it was almost nonexistent at certain points in the hotel (lobby/bar area). This was our second year to stay at the hotel and will probably come back next year as well.

This is a very nice hotel. 10-15 min walk from the subway, very clean, good breakfast. Only took 1 star in service because my check-in was delayed by 30 min. Hotel is in the park so amazing views and super quiet at night.

I booked this place because it’s the only hotel available walkable to the convention. The non-smoking room I was in reeked of smoke for the entire night. I slept with the windows and curtains fully open to vent. Got less than 3 hours of sleep. The smoke was coming in from the hallways (door cracks) and vent ducts of the AC, which was turned off. I told front desk and they did not do anything other than vent out the hallway, which provided a little bit of relief for 20 minutes. The bathroom had a shower where the tub took 30 minutes to fill and the shower head had such low water flow that it was hard to clean soap off my hair. The water balance was so bad that within every 30 seconds, the water would go through a 10C temperature fluctuation ranging from scalding to very cold. There was about a 10 second interval in every 30 seconds that I could stand under the water. I would never stay here again even if someone paid me. What a terrible experience! For two nights, I spent over $700 for one room with two single beds.
