Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel

We had our honeymoon here in July and loved it. We had the junior suite, it was perfect. The private pool was brilliant. Views from the balcony and sunbathing point were great. Beautiful hotel & great service from all of the staff. Meals were excellent too and a good choice throughout the various a la carte restaurants and buffets. Great views from the rooftop bar. Can't wait to go back to relive it.

Just back from a great week at this hotel. Lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and a great atmosphere. The staff cannot help enough! The food was of a good quality which is rare I find on all inclusive holidays! Entertainment was excellent and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed the holiday!

My partner and I have just returned from a week away at the Athena Beach Hotel. The hotel was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful and the location mostly perfect. The only minor issue with the location was the fact that the beach was very rocky and it was difficult to both walk and swim in the sea, however, this is clearly not under the control of the hotel. There were steps from a jetty type walkway into the sea which would benefit from a little maintenance as a couple of the steps were broken and others very slippery. The rooms were lovely, we stayed in a room with a sea view which was great. There was one small point to note in the room and this was the fact that there was a frosted glass panel between the bedroom and the bathroom, which, when someone gets up to use the bathroom at night, putting the light on illuminates the entire room, perhaps a blind may be beneficial. For a very small fee, we upgraded to the Elite package which gave us many benefits over the standard stay including use of the sauna and steam room, access to the rooftop bar and other areas and a late check out which was very useful as our flight was not until late evening. The only change that I would recommend is to introduce a policy around reservation of sun beds. By 8am, most of them had been 'reserved'. There were more than enough to go around and we never had a problem finding one, however, if we ever wanted to sit by the pool, we couldn't because they were 'reserved' with towels, books etc. and often not used until much later in the morning. Perhaps a policy of no towels on unattended sun beds before 9am or something similar would be helpful. Those found, could be removed by staff, or better still, a bar credit be given to guests for returning of 'abandoned' towels! Otherwise, this was a perfect holiday, the staff were great, food plentiful and varied and we will be returning for another stay, perhaps a little longer next time.
