Continental Palace

We are here for 7 nights, actually the second day. Room furniture is a bit old but everything works. Staff is very kind, professional and helpful. Especially the receptionist Irene, very kind and helpful person. She helped us with everything we asked. This person is real professional in her job. We are looking forward to next 5 days in this hotel and we will go here next year again. Food is very good, no need to eat outside, everything is great.

The rooms are pretty dated but very clean and everything you need, you can ask for a kettle if needed but we took travel kettle. The cleaner's are excellent and room cleaned daily which is a positive. The garden is lovely around the pool, got very busy round by the pool so its worth saving a bed when you go for breakfast which is 7 to 10. The pool bar and snacks are very reasonable but again can get busy. The dining room is very hot! Which is a downside to the evening meal as no outside eating area. The meals are buffet style and a variety of foods, always cold and hot options and you will find something! Can take a few minutes to refill when dishes empty but not long and always hot. The staff are ok but the reception staff are welcoming especially Irena who is an angel, if you want to book anything go to her, we booked Zia for 4 adults and 2 children with a pick up coach at 5.15 return for 9.45. we had booked ahead for a meal and to see the sunset which i highly recommend as it gets very busy but well worth a trip. The entertainment is every other night but a good variety. I was a little concerned having read reviews before we went but we had a great time. The negative was the beds! Not very comfortable but we managed for the time we were there. Air conditioning in rooms which was a positive and needed as it is hot!

Everything was kind of fine, but to call this a four star hotel is ridiculous! Rooms were dated and sparse, nothing terrible about them though. Food is tolerable but definitely not great, I wouldn’t recommend eating there. I also found it nigh on impossible to get a lounger by the pool. Good location next to a beach and lots of bars and restaurants, and not too long of a walk - or e-scooter - to Kos. Staff were all nice and friendly! In summary, if you just want somewhere that’s good enough you won’t hate it, this might be the place for you. If you’re looking for somewhere that’s actively nice, I’d go elsewhere.
