Convenient Grand Hotel

The hotel is aging, but I got a big clean room near the airport for 650 Baht. Opposite is a 7/11, a real good and very cheap local market with street food and 10min on foot is a very romantic steak house. The pool was sadly closed, there was no shower curtain and no phone to reach the reception (the router did not accept the password). Still, all together it's a very good deal if you stay only a short time near the airport. For staying longer, the pool is a must (as it's advertised) as well as a shower curtain.

Great value for money but don't expect too much. Rooms are a good size comes with lots of noise from the neighbors, swimming packed and gym needs maintenance. I liked the small cafe for morning breakfast better than heading into town that needs a scooter or Grab bike. Overall, I recommend for short stays when you have transport.

Service was courteous but I find it a bit misleading to book for a family of 4 and then find out there is only a single bed and a king bed… the following day we paid an additional fee to have a mattress installed on the floor. Overall room is not super clean, garbage from previous guests were still under the beds, we killed a 🪳 and the towels and bathroom carpet are old and not soft… pillows were was too high and hard, and I normally never complain for pillows… Not recommended even if affordable and nit too far from airport.
