ConventGarten Hotel & Restaurant am Nord Ostsee Kanal

Small but very well functioning room with a angled canal view. Nice breakfast with very professionel staff. Restaurant is ok and has a direct view of the canal. Food is good but could be a lot better with a little bit of effort (wiener schnitzel very chewy and not pounded as it should be)

This was part of my 70th birthday UK & Europe Grande Tour where we picked different spots for our photographic needs. Having only to walk out the doors and be next to the Kiel Canal was my bonus. Always heard is was a fantastic place to do ship photography and it certainly is.

Had the pleasure of staying at Hotel CoventGarten for a couple of nights in one of their Delux rooms. From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much, but it is a cozy little hotel, well located in central Rendsburg with a nice view of the Eideren. Location is really good if you want to drive a bit around northern Germany. In addition to this, it is only half an hour's drive from the Designer Outlet Neumünster. The hotel has plenty of parking and 3 charging stations where you can charge your car for €15. Really nice to be able to charge the car so you don't have to think about this. The room was cosy, good large bathroom, a good bed and a cozy little balcony where you can enjoy the view of the Eideren and the various ships that sail by. The location of each room in the building makes all balconies feel completely private. The breakfast wasn't very big, but it was a nice little gimmick with a candy bar, where you could take something sweet with you on the road. We visited the restaurant one evening. It is comfortably situated with a good view of the Ejderen. The food was quite good, however I got the smallest wienerschnitzel I have ever had, it was a bit disappointing. But the quality of the food was really good. All in all, a very nice hotel that we will definitely come back to another time.
