Cool Mama Hotel Salzburg

The most convenient & comfortable hotel I have stayed at. Managed to get a early check in at a small price. Andreas at the reception made my stay ever so lovely. Always addressed me by my name, was helpful to another level and actioned any requests almost immediately. The hotel is close to the railway station, bus stand, mall, McDonald's & Burger King. As a solo traveller this was such a relief especially since all my travels involved trains & buses. The stay in this hotel made my stay in Salzburg all the more memorable.

We had a really comfortable stay at H+ Hotel Salzburg. The beds were big and super comfy, and the room had everything we needed — a large TV, a safe, plenty of plug sockets, and a spacious bathroom. The air con worked really well too, which was a bonus during the warmer days. They even left us complimentary water and chocolate which was a nice touch. Location-wise, it’s spot on — right next to the main train station, so really easy to get around. The top floor breakfast room has some great views of the city and the Alps, and the breakfast itself had a decent range including bacon, eggs, sausages, pastries, yogurt and more. The hotel also has a gym and sauna if you fancy relaxing a bit. Staff were all really friendly, both at reception and the cleaners in the hallways who always said hello. The only slight downsides were that the shower leaked quite a bit onto the bathroom floor, and I couldn’t figure out how to use the rainfall shower head. Some parts of the hotel, like the restaurant and corridors, are a bit dated too. Overall though, it was a great base for exploring Salzburg and I’d happily stay again.

Pros: The hotel is right next to the main train and bus station, so getting around is easy. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants near by as well. The services we received at check in was good as well. We arrived early and was able to check in without any problem. Cons: The room was OK. The air con was very loud and not very efficient. It also keeps turning itself off in the middle of the night, leaving the room getting rather warm. The shower was drippy, and further added to the background noise in the room. The WiFi was almost unusable. It was incredibly slow and kept disconnecting. There is also no fridge in the room. Also during one of the nights we stayed, we got woken up by fire alarm in the middle of the night (about 1am), and had to evacuate the building. It turned out later that it was a false alarm, but we received no apologies or even an explanation in what happened. Overall, it wasn't terrible but not the most pleasant stay we had, especially considering the price
