Lovely boutique Hotel. Great bar downstairs and even with the bar it’s the rooms are nice and quiet. Bar has amazing food and one of then best Guinness we had outside Ireland. Staff at the place were lovely. Walking distance from city but just outside the main hustle and bustle of the centre in the beautiful suburb of South Melbourne. Loads of good restaurants and cafe nearby.

The boutique rooms were somewhat spartan with obstructed windows but comfortable. The only criticism was that the AC compressor was intermittently loud at night. There is no parking on site. The staff were efficient and obliging and the food was good bistro fare.

Previously emailed Feedback - before posting publicly. No response from management Hey guys I have just reviewed your automated email asking for a TripAdvisor review. I don't feel comfortable leaving you a review on there as it wouldn't be a positive one, however I don't believe in leaving negative reviews if I haven't spoken to management/owners about the issues prior. We arrived at 730pm on Monday night - quickly checked in (the room was freezing - 13.5 degrees whilst being set to 28 degrees) & then came back down to the restaurant for dinner at 745pm. Our dinner was actually incredibly underwhelming I had a 250g steak medium rare 4+ for $39 and it was so tough that I actually only ate 1/4 of it... My Mum ordered a wagyu burger & that was also tough Essentially after a 15hr travel day we ended up eating chips & salad for dinner. Having a drink each that cost $91 We got offered complimentary drinks vouchers as compensation (which we couldn't use anyway - checking out at 645am the next morning for another 15hr travel day). I had also ordered a $230 bottle of Billie Cart Salmon Sparkling with with Paul as per one of my previous emails - as it was my Mums birthday & we were in Melbourne to go wedding dress shopping Tue morning. That never appeared in the room either I went to get a coffee at 630 Tue morning before leaving at 645am (after noticing a coffee machine in the bar on Monday night) & the restaurant was closed. The winning part of our stay was that it was only a 10min walk to my bridal appointment. Otherwise I probably wouldn't recommend again to be honest. Once again; just re-iterating that I don't want to post this publicly, as I also own a business (coffee shop) & appreciate people giving me feedback privately first if it's negative Kind Regards - Holly
