Great views of the river and bridges. Super helpful and professional staff on the desk. Lovely vaulted lounge area, and equally large and airy room. Although perfectly clean and function, some of the room furnishings felt ready for a refresh. A short, if hilly, walk to all the the bars and venues in town. A classy experience for same price as a soul-less box hotel
We stayed at the Copthorne as a base for a 5 day coach tour of Northumbria. The rooms where comfortable and generous in side. Our room had excellent views over the river Tyne and it's bridges. The Staff were very professional and attentive throughout our stay. There was a good selection of food at breakfast. The evening meal was served on hot plates and had good vegetarian options that I enjoyed.
We had an AMAZING experience at this hotel. We were greeted very warmly by Nicola! She took very good care of us, and it being our first time in Newcastle she took the time to explain the city. The hotel is a great location to the train, restaurants, the river & shops. The hotel was also incredibly accommodating to our needs and we are so happy we stayed there! Thank you again Nicola for being so lovely & hardworking!
