Copthorne Hotel Plymouth

Great hotel. Very helpful and courteous staff. Comfortable rooms and excellent ventilation with a ceiling fan. Bathroom is a little dated, but safe and has all the items you need. Breakfast was just perfect, plenty of choice and selection of drinks. So far our favourite hotel in Plymouth.

We visit our daughter who's a university student. This hotel has a good location close to railway, coach station and city centre. Room is of good space and provisions. Staff are friendly. Interior design more modern than the outside of the building. I particularly like the sitting area in front of the reception. It's a good place for rest, and a chat. Bed is comfy and the fan on the ceiling and an additional desk fan give comfy ventilation for good sleep. Price is of good value. I will consider to stay again next time.

A two night stay whilst a family member was at the university. The hotel's main strength is location - close to the train station and the city centre. Check-in was fine, although I'd said that I'd spend most of the time in my room so could I have something with a view - I got the car park view! The room had everything I needed, and whilst it was a little tired it was completely fine. Breakfast was the standard hotel buffet - no complaints there, and the dinner I had one night was adequate - the menu wasn't very broad. I was given a late check-out, which I was very grateful for, although I wasn't given a copy of my bill, and assumed it would be e-mailed, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I would certainly consider staying there again if I had to go to Plymouth in the future.
