We loved staying here! Perfect location right across the road from gorgeous Trinity Beach. Our ground floor room was quiet and very well equipped with all our family needed for a comfortable 5 night stay. Staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
Very nice rooms and a truly beautiful view. Really nice that it is so close to the beach. The pool is also really great. However, there isn’t much kitchen equipment – for example, there are no pot holders and no sharp knives. There are a couple of small shampoos and conditioners, but not much more. It’s great that there’s free parking in the basement.
This could (and probably used to be) a great place, but sadly in need of a lot of maintenance, updating, and most of all customer oriented service. The units are a good size, great location on the beach and proximity to heaps of dining options, grounds look lovely. Maintenance is definitely needed both in the rooms and the pool though, and be prepared for a bit of noise from the surrounding restaurants/bars. We had booked a few rooms for a family event over a long weekend. The toilet in one leaked the entire time, with no useful response from staff (had to wait for the manager to be there, couldn’t call out a plumber because it was a weekend, attempted to fix it with silicone and a hairdryer which of course didn’t stop the leak) and meant the room smelled like toilet water for the entire stay (Friday-Monday) and was a serious slip hazard. Apparently no-one there has any authority to offer any kind of compensation, or to swap rooms - desk staff had to wait for the manager (who rarely seemed to be there) who said he’d have to ‘work out how many hours we were inconvenienced’ (um… the whole time…) and verbally offered $50 back (pretty insulting), but then didn’t even pass this onto the reception staff at check out (who again had no authority to do anything except leave a message for the manager). Email and phone follow-up happened (apparently the manager also couldn’t authorise anything and had to wait to hear from the owner)… two weeks of follow-up later still nothing, not even the $50. The rooms are in need of updating - which isn’t really a problem - but broken things like cupboard handles and rails in the bathroom were left unfixed (ie a broken rail pulled off and just left in the cupboard). Beds and pillows were only good if you like them hard/flat - for us so uncomfortable we ended up buying a mattress topper and pillows from Kmart up the road for the stay after the first night. Although looking lovely, the lack of pool maintenance saw our kids with sore feet more than once from scraping against the broken patches of pebbling in the pool. Again, no big deal on its own but given overall experience all added up to being a place I would not recommend - especially given there are SO many other options to choose from all around. Definitely try elsewhere!
