Cosmos Selection St. Petersburg Nevsky Royal Hotel

We have been staying in this beautiful hotel for four nights and absolutely loved it. The location is unbeatable, right in the city center on one of St.Petersburg's main streets, if not "the"! The rooms were spacious and well equipped and the food was delicious. The one thing that stood out to me was the staff. To me as a German this was the most important factor. Knowing the history of our two countries and feeling a heavy load of guilt remembering the atrocities caused to Russia and particularly this town by my country, the kindness and helpfulness was NOT self-evident! I cannot express my gratefulness and appreciation enough and I must point out one person in particular: DENIS. He was the most outstanding receptionist/head porter. Always kind, helpful, funny - he made our stay the best it could've been! Thankyou for an unforgettable stay, despite everything (past AND present)! I am so in love with this country and I will continue to voice my opinion! С Рождеством & God bless!

Totally uncomfortable bed. I really don’t know how the hotel claim 5 stars with this kind of bed and mattress. Its most cheap mattress in the world. Avoid at all cost
