Great place to visit. We had a great stay here in september. They have tennis courts and a bar open all day. The rooms dont have everything but i was happy with the room service. The evening meal is 10/10 with a great choice of starters main courses and they have a great pastry chef. Great waiter service and happy and friendy staff. You need a car to get around. The pool is kept pristine and the area had many places to visit Otranto Lecce Leuca which have beautiful vistas. All in all this area of Puglia is fantastic
We stay at this resort during the last week of September 2018 which was the last of the season. You might have thought the staff would not be too enthusiastic but I must say they treated us like it was the first week. All the facilities were well staffed including the restaurant, bar, pool, porters, grounds keepers, shuttle drivers, and staff/beach facilities. It is located just a few blocks walk from Lido Marini's main street and beachfront. We stayed in the apartment section and my wife loved cooking in this European style kitchen. It might seem small to many Americans...but this style of kitchen worked very well for our "Italian Vacation" A rental car would be very helpful if you want to visit other nice towns near by. Though we were impressed with all the staff we would like to give our highest review to one of the resort's employees. Her name is Francesca...and she is one of the receptionists who spoke excellent English and help us in many ways to make sure our stay was outstanding.
The self catering timeshare accommodation is pretty bad. The double room had two single beds failing at their aspirations of being a double bed. The mattresses were thin and uncomfortable and the beds refused to stay together as a coherent unit. The bathroom was tiny with a minuscule shower designed to torture by ensuring you constantly bump against the mixer tap resulting in wild temperature variations. The only positives were the friendly staff and the free WiFi in the reception area. If you are planning on using the trains to get to the resort make sure that you arrange for a transfer or taxi from Ugento or Presicce as there are no taxis outside the stations.
