Costa Mesa Marriott

From the moment I walked into this Marriott location, I was greeted warmly. The lobby looked fresh and they had a nice little bar area. Checking in the service was fantastic. The rep asked me about my day and seemed to sincerely care. Once I got to the room I noticed how clean and nice the room was. I travel for business and I see a lot of marriott hotels this is one of the better I’ve seen this year. The room had a balcony over looking the lake as well which was a nice bonus. Overall, this stay exceeded expectations and this hotel hits way above is rating on google.

The service was great! Staff is so kind. We were able to stay as Elite guests so we got complimentary breakfasts each morning, but they do not offer free breakfast foot all guests. They do have a bar that serves food, rather pricey though. Location is very close to the mall, but everything else is a drive (Beach, disney, etc). Overall a nice hotel for a quick getaway, but plan on driving a bit for activities.

Comfortable rooms, and boasts an M Life Lounge. However, service in the M Life Lounge was stiff and substandard. Breakfast ends at 9 am (quite early), but there is almost nothing left before 9 am. Staff didn't even want to replenish plates even though more guests were coming in close to 9 am. Food was scarce and containers were near-empty. No espresso machine, just standard drip coffee. Also, don't be fooled by listed price for parking. On the reservation, it states $10 ... per hour, or $42 overnight. Marriott's hotels standardly list parking rate costs nightly, not hourly. Otherwise, room (all-suites hotel) was comfortable for a short stay and front desk was satisfactory. Reason for review was due to M Life Lounge service.
