Country Comfort Amity Motel

Comfortable, old school motel. Clean and very comfortable king size bed! Loved that. Cold came through the windows but fine with the heavy curtains closed. The best part of this motel for us it's the Amazing Indian restaurant "the Royal Turban"... Exceptional flavour, especially the Vegetarian Korma, and we got the couple meal Deal and had enough food for the next nights dinner as well! Excellent value, and so nice to have something of such high quality and value within the hotel grounds.

Booked from booking.com for ~$150, not sure why not able to write a review there. Arrived late and the reception lady had helped to put the key in a key-box, which was very nice. The location is about 15-20 min walk to the city center area, which is not bad. There is a pool and small gym, don't have time to try. One thing not very good is the room, most stuffs are old, not really fit the 4-star hotel. TV is small. Didn't find toothbrush and slippers. Not recommend if you have extra $50-100 to get a more decent one, even with breakfast since it is not a busy season.

Very disappointed with handling of a recent bookings. Three families booked rooms to attend funeral. One family had to cancel as newborn was in hospital with RSV. Phoned to request a refund or change to a later date but no, pretty much we have your money, who cares. Policy is 48 hours prior, we called at 47 hours and 52 minutes, where's their compassion?! Will never return to this venue and will tell everyone who will listen about lack of empathy.
