Myself and a friend had a day in London and stumbled upon this hotel. The draw for us was the rooftop bar. We were not guests and we did not have a booking, but Vlad the concierge was amazing! He gave us a tour of the place and was so knowledgable about the history. Showing us around before taking us to the rooftop for lunch and drinks. The building is beautiful and interesting. The views are great! The food was delicious and the cocktails too. And it was affordable for London. Now I want to go back! I want to stay there. Wonderful place!! And big thanks to Vlad - they should be proud to have him on their staff :)
Wonderful visit to this hotel for the spa but the standout member of staff was by far and large the concierge Vlad. Not only is he incredibly charming and knowledgeable but also very helpful. He gave us a complete tour of the cells and the courtroom as it was and also the history of the Town hall opposite. He is hospitality personified.
I would not class this as a 5 star hotel. It was clean, room comfortable and staff friendly. We stayed bed and breakfast and to be fair was disappointed with breakfast, no choice of eggs, water for tea not hot enough and poor selection overall. I have had better breakfasts in a premier inn
