Thomas, the front desk associate, was extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment I arrived. Despite my Gold Marriott status, he made no acknowledgment of it or the benefits that typically come with it. Additionally, I had an extra guest with me and requested an additional bed, which Thomas refused to provide without offering any reasonable explanation. His attitude made it clear that he was not interested in assisting or providing a welcoming experience. This is not the level of service I expect from a Marriott property
Unfortunately, a lot has to change. The hotel charges 27 CHF for parking (daily!) and 35 CHF, so that one can use the pool (without spa or extra service!). No wifi available despite my continuous efforts, no bottle of water in the room, nothing extra in the bathroom (such as cotton pads etc), poor towels quality. The only thing worth mentioning is one of the male receptionists (Mohamad) who really tried to help me with the wifi issue and he even run to make sure I had validated my valet ticket. He was great.
Very disappointed with Marriott. Luxury entrance, lobby and nice restaurant so you think the price is worth it, then the rooms look low level executive and the bathroom is old old, our room even smelled like cigarettes
