Courtyard by Marriott Budapest City Center

I’ve stayed at Courtyard Budapest City Center several times over the past two months, and every time has been an exceptional experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, close to everything yet peaceful and comfortable. The staff is truly outstanding: extremely helpful, attentive, and quick to assist with anything needed. Their kindness and professionalism make a real difference and elevate the whole experience. The hotel is clean, modern, and welcoming, just like the beautiful city of Budapest itself. I always feel at ease and taken care of here. I’m already looking forward to coming back again as soon as possible. Thank you for making each stay so special! ❤️🇭🇺

I stayed at Courtyard Budapest City Center last Nov and would happily give it a 5-star rating. The location is super convenient — right in the heart of the city. I dined at the hotel restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I tried the local-style beef soup and really enjoyed it. The hotel has a small sauna facility — although not large, I had it all to myself during the stay, which made it perfect. The room wasn’t luxury-style, but it was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I had a nice desk by the window with a lovely street view — great for remote-working. A special mention to Zsaklin at the front desk. She was exceptionally helpful and professional, helping me resolve several issues smoothly. I sincerely appreciated her kindness and will remember her 7/25.

The hotel is nice and the reception staff are friendly and understanding. Room amenities are basic but manageable. And to add we are a Gold Elite member However, the breakfast was a big letdown. Limited options, slow refills, and asking for anything felt like asking a favor. The worst part was when we took a couple of bananas for kids to our room—staff didn’t stop us but made a rude comment to a colleague, clearly directed at us. If it’s not allowed, just say so or put up a sign. No need for passive-aggressive behavior. We’re staying in a suite at a Marriott—not because we can’t afford things. The judgmental attitude made us feel very uncomfortable. We’ve chosen to skip our already pre-paid breakfast for the rest of our stay. They can keep the money we paid for it. We don’t mind spending extra to eat outside.
