Courtyard by Marriott Calgary South

Great experience and great Service from Hotel Staff. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. We would 100% say here again. The pool area could use a bit of a clean and redesign, awkward entrance with the elevator.

Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff - both front desk and maintenance. Neat and clean rooms. No microwave in room was a disadvantage and I had to come down 4 floors every time to warm up food everyday. Staff did say it can be a fire hazard but then they were willing to give on individual request and there wasn't one available for me. I haven't had problems with in-room microwaves in other hotels. No free breakfast either. A restaurant with this quality should give free breakfast, all Marriott hotels should! They did tell me the Courtyard brand doesn't do that - so I don't blame them for it. The A/C was also intermittent and would turn off during the night leaving me somewhat hot under the blanket. I wish there was a feature to keep the A/C on as long as it was on regardless of the set temperature. I tried different settings but nothing worked. I did bring this up to the staff and they said that they can send someone to look at it. I just got through the time since it was a 10-night stay. Overall still a decent place. I wish these things could be addressed.

Recently stayed here on the third floor for the weekend. Room was great, comfy beds, nice hotel. The only issue was the live band in the restaurant/bar. They played until 330am both nights and judging by the reviews we weren't the only ones bothered by it. If you want to sleep with ear plugs in or get no sleep this is a great hotel. Just know that no matter how much you complain they don't care that the live music is playing while people are trying to sleep. If you stay here make sure to grab a room far away from the bar.
