Courtyard by Marriott Dakar Diamniadio

I cannot say enough about my experience at this hotel. I've traveled around the world and the ambiance, customer service, professionalism and cleanliness cannot be more outstanding. Mr. Kumar (manager) has created a culture amongst the staff that is warm, attentive, personable and you can feel their positive energy as they work in sync, seamlessly as a team. From cleaning the restrooms, hosting the front desk to those cooking in the kitchen, everyone was on point. They all were so pleasant and personable. The cleanliness was unmatched to any hotel I've ever seen. Everything in this hotel is aesthetically beautifully superior to any other Courtyard Marriots I've been to. Their lighting alone is so gorgeous and they use smart lighting systems for energy efficiency while at the same time artfully luminous and eye catching. The food was always so fresh, always delicious with a full range of options and cruise ship quality dessert assortments one cannot resist! Spending three nights hosting a conference here was a guilty pleasure. We had a one bedroom, king suite and the room was so amazing and bed was super comfy. A mere 20 minute commute with their own shuttle makes travel to and from the airport super simple not to mention they're located right across from a beautiful stadium all lit up at night!

This is by far the best Marriott courtyard I have stayed at world wide. And I am loyalty member. From the appearance of the hotel inside and out to literally the staff everything was phenomenal. The staff is very professional, well presented, and very very helpful! Checking in and out was also very seamless! They also offer shuttle services to the airport or to be picked up from the airport. I never had an issue w the shuttle bc they were always on time. Last but not least the food is a 10/10. The restaurant is 5stars! The fresh ingredients, quantity/quality of food, and the large portions!! Probably one of the best restaurant I ate at during my 2 weeks in Africa. A huge plus was the pool was heated so we were able to swim at night! I also appreciate how pretty much all of the staff spoke clear English. Not just French and Woluf! Please do not hesitate to stay here. Also the manager Fabien is amazing!

I truly wish I could give this place 10 stars, it is THAT good! When I was planning my trip to Dakar I was initially looking at hotels in the center of Dakar but none of them were talking to me. The Courtyard, while not in the center has many perks going for it. I would argue their location is fantastic as they are about 20-25 minutes from the airport in the direction of Dakar. They provide complimentary free shuttle service to and from the airport and done with a smile. They also provide complimentary shuttle to or from the nearby Diamniadio train station if you wish to go to Dakar. Service at the hotel is excellent across every employee I interacted with, from the front desk who always promptly responds to emails, to the shuttle driver, to the ground floor staff and housekeeping, really everyone is great! The hotel is also very modern and clean and still has the new hotel smell, having opened less than a year ago. This is a wonderful choice if visiting Dakar.
