Lovely hotel in a quiet, green area on the Heriot-Watt University campus. Great for relaxing after exploring Edinburgh. Rooms are modern, clean, and spacious with comfy beds and free Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Free on-site parking is a big plus, and the hotel is fully wheelchair accessible. Breakfast was good with both hot and continental options. The location is a bit outside the city centre, but buses run regularly and it’s close to the airport. Overall, a peaceful and comfortable stay—great value for money if you don’t mind being slightly outside the city buzz!
The hotel is good, the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff are polite, friendly, and helpful. Overall, the service meets expectations. However, the breakfast was just okay and not quite up to the usual Marriott standards. Apart from that, everything else was fine and satisfactory.
Not the best Marriott I have stayed at. The one in the centre is miles better. The rooms are fine but the restaurant is terrible. The menu isn’t great, seating is in the walkway which is odd and the food itself is not nice at all. The food at the other Marriott was really nice so I was really disappointed. The shower also only faced the wall unless you held it and the air con was very noisy. I probably wouldn’t choose to stay again especially for the price.
