Courtyard by Marriott Freiburg

The location is wonderful, close to the old town area, everything in walking distance, very nice breakfast buffet , efficient service, very comfortable bed and bedding, we slept very well. The interior design is tasteful and cosy. The underground parking is convenient, and it costs 18 euros for 24 hours which was reasonable. Even though the hotel is very close to the central station, but it’s very safe and secure. The bedroom isn’t particularly big compared with other 4 star hotels we stayed, but we liked our experience here and will certainly book again next time. 😊

We stayed at Courtyard Freiburg as a family of four with two toddlers and had a great experience. The room was a good size and comfortable for our short stay. Breakfast wasn’t huge, but the selection was excellent and everything was very tasty. While breakfast wasn’t complimentary for Platinum guests, the discounted rate was still well worth it. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The location is fantastic—right across the street from the main train station and within walking distance to Freiburg’s main attractions. There’s a grocery store downstairs and another just across the street, which was very convenient. The hotel also has a parking garage in the basement with discounted rates for hotel guests, which made arriving by car stress-free. We used the hotel as a base to explore the Black Forest and it was perfect for that. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend it to other families or travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and great service!

Excellent hotel, great location and value for money! I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is perfectly located, just a short walk from the Central Station and about 10 to 15 minutes from the city’s historic center. There were great restaurants nearby, which was very convenient. The hotel gym was a pleasant surprise — besides a treadmill, it actually had proper weights, making it possible to get a solid workout even while on vacation. Everything was very clean and well-organized, and the breakfast was great. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful — we asked for extra pillows, and they brought them right away. Highly recommended, especially considering the excellent price!
