We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean with no signs of wear. The entire staff was personable and friendly. The hotel in just meters away from the front entrance to the airport (an easy walk with luggage) there is also a paved path to the train station, once again within walking distance with luggage. Inverness city center is a quick 10 minutes on the train. The food at the hotel restaurant was very good. We had some small plate food the evening we arrived and breakfast the following morning. Hats off to the staff. They made this stay so very enjoyable!
I stay here regularly. The rooms are generally very good, all have a fridge, safe,good sized TV and a decent shower. Usual kettle, hairdryer, iron etc as you would expect. Food is good, breakfast is buffet style but constantly managed and always hot if you take the cooked option. staff are excellent. Can’t comment on pricing as my stays are paid for by my employer. Location is excellent for those using the airport as it is literally right outside the terminal building.
This place is only suitable for a single night if your flight gets delayed or cancelled — and even then, brace yourself. The room is just okay if you ignore the shower. The drain doesn’t work, so water pools around your feet, and you end up showering knee-deep in dirty water. Not exactly a pleasant experience. As for the restaurant — completely disorganized. Think third-world service levels. 3 July you have to book dinner in advance because of limited seating, and even if you show up on time, there’s no guarantee you’ll get a table or even your food. I ordered a salmon steak and got it within 5 minutes — clearly microwaved and low quality. Extremely disappointing. Don’t expect any compensation or apologies. Bottom line: if you can avoid this place, do. Unfortunately, in situations like flight cancellations, sometimes you’re stuck. But don’t expect comfort or quality — this hotel is survival-mode only.
