Courtyard by Marriott London Gatwick Airport

We were booked here for two nights due to a cancelled flight. The best part of our stay was the restaurant. Every single person in the dining area needs to be applauded. They helped make this inconvenient flight delay a better experience. They were very accommodating even though they had a full house and the food was excellent. Madalina, Ashley and Juliette were particularly lovely. The room looks lovely and the bed is comfortable. Only issues were the refrigerator didn’t work and the toilet struggled with flushing. Now for the only part that made us cringe a little. The receptionist was friendly but gave us incorrect information in regards to our voucher. In asking a question about it, the other receptionist came over and said something to the effect “these cancelled flights are a nightmare.” My response was “yes, for all of us.” That was an unnecessary flippant comment on his part. The following day, both receptionists were very helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic two night stay at the end of our Europe trip at the courtyard. Yes, room was hot upon arrival, but nothing turning on the AC couldn’t fix. Excellent food; especially for dinner. Get the hot chicken wrap or try a Double Dutch (such good seltzer water). Juliette was fantastic! Super helpful giving us information on our day trip to Brighton. Overall, wonderful experience!

Great location if flying from the South Terminal, only 10 minutes walk. Plenty of parking available. Room was well presented. The only thing that let the venue down was the cleaners of the bar/restaurant area, several tables were not clean, some staff didn't appear as capable as others. Greeting on arrival for checking in was prompt and good.
