Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Pangyo

Location is prime: at the center of Pangyo. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby: these includes various Asian ones as well as fast foods. Rooms are quite and well equipped but not so large. Service is excellent. Keep in mind a refundable deposit of about $150 is due at check-in because they had smoking customers who damaged rooms. Overall, will gladly visit them again.

I stayed from May 23rd to May 28th (5days 6 nights). There were two very disappointing aspects. Firstly, the marble bench in the shower was slippery due to red mold on it. It seems to be for sitting, but how could anyone sit there in that condition? I estimate it hadn't been cleaned for about 2-3 days. Secondly, the room's heating temperature couldn't be adjusted above 25 degrees Celsius at night, so the fan kept running, causing noise all night, and it was cold. I recall the outdoor temperature in the early morning during my stay was around 13-15 degrees Celsius. Having to use an extra radiator for my 4-day stay because the temperature couldn't be controlled was truly a first for me, despite having stayed at many Marriott hotels. The front desk told me that they could not solve the heating issue because their technicians had turned off the heating system.

If you’re here for business, the location is very convenient, and there are some delicious restaurants nearby. The staff are very friendly, including the housekeeping team. However, I stayed in a room on the 10th floor this time, and the soundproofing was very poor. Every night until the early hours, I could still hear music coming from somewhere, as well as footsteps from guests in nearby rooms. It was very disturbing!
