Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Jiading

The hotel was excellent, as too the amenities. Our problem was a very rude restaurant/bar manager. We were there 2 nights (March 10 & 11) and on both nights this manager was working we found her to be rude to us and to most guests. It is a pity as every other staff member was friendly and our stay was only spoilt by this person.

+View into the distance, but in a built-up location. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Good noise reduction. - Glass bathroom, from the room you could see all the way to the toilet, a colleague also had a non-functioning roller blind. Dirty and moldy corners in the bathroom screen. The central light in the bathroom kept flickering. Inexpertly and badly fitted sink. The toilet brush was missing. The breakfasts were very poor for a European. Eggs fried completely brown, bad sausages, pastries a few days old. Mustard, beans were missing, bacon was only twice in 7 days of stay.

I am disappointed by hotel from Marriott brand. This hotel in Jiading Shanghai area is more 2 stars than 4! Breakfast is poor, no big choice, tables are dirty and if you look in details the kitchen too. So cold in the breakfast area, you need your jack otherwise you get sick. Room are ok, just sometimes the smoke smell from the neighbor I assume. TV. no English channel or movie channel available. No HBO . Fitness area small but very good and clean. no one in the fitness area from the hotel team.. you are alone Around the hotel nothing to do. Need a car for visit around more far away.
