Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Northeast Markham

Always love the Marriott group, reliable. We stayed there in Mid April for 3 days, booked through Expedia, very impressed by their promotion room rates. They also tried to accommodate our request for early check in by sending us notifications when the room is ready, very thoughtful arrangement. Conveniently located in Markham where we could meet our friends and family nearby. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Front desk and room service is speedy and professional. Highly recommend it. Free parking, too.

Stayed here for a family sporting event. Was very central to all the places we needed to go to. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Views were decent. Did not get a chance to use the pool or gym, however, seemed very accommodating and very cool that the gym is 24 hours. Would visit this establishment again soon....thanks Courtyard Toronto North (Markham)

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was disappointing for several reasons. First, the parking lot felt unsafe and poorly maintained—definitely not what you’d expect from a hotel in this price range. The service was alright and the staff member assisting me was “in training,” which was evident from their rude and unhelpful attitude. There was no room service available, which was frustrating, especially after a long day of travel. To make matters worse, there’s a restaurant connected to the hotel, but it’s not actually affiliated with it. I was unable to charge my meal to my room, which made things unnecessarily complicated. Lastly, the room was dated and had a strange, unpleasant smell that didn’t go away. Overall, this hotel did not meet expectations in terms of comfort, service, or convenience. I would not recommend it and will be staying elsewhere next time I’m in the area! 🥹
