Covent Garden Hotel Firmdale Hotels

On a brief trip to London my husband booked me into this superbly elegant hotel - which I understand was a hospital in the distant past. My experience was excellent in every way. Knowledgeable and helpful front desk as well as concierge, beautifully appointed rooms, a lovely dining and drawing room as well as a handy gym on the lower ground floor. With the double windows it is also very quiet inside and the traditional English decor makes every area feel warm and inviting. There is a lovely restaurant and bar on the main floor as well. Even the rooms attendants have spotless uniforms and are very courteous. Happy to highly recommend this wonderful destination in London.

Visited the hotel’s lounge bar this evening for drinks and nibbles and wanted to review straight away to commend the lovely staff on their friendly, welcoming and efficient service. Very pleasant surroundings and a good choice of nibbles/drinks, but above all, every single member of staff we encountered went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. My phone (battery worrying depleted, with a long train journey ahead of me and needing to make arrangements to be collected at the other end) was graciously recharged and we were even brought complimentary fries with truffle mayonnaise to go with our wine. Thank you one and all.

Great hotel! Room was quiet and spacious, service was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good, could have been better: mashed avocado not really tasty, eggs Benedict definitely too salty. But all in all, we had a great stay.
