Absolutely loved our stay here, great value for money. The rooms where clean and had everything you needed. Even freshly baked cookies with the coffee and tea which I thinks a lovely touch. The breakfast is amazing, and the views you get when having your breakfast is fab too. All the staff here are so lovely and really do go out their way to make sure your stay is exceptional. I'll definitely be returning on my visits to the lake district ❤️

Great breakfast, stunning hotel but some facilities were dated - like stiff keys to get into our room. Also, we were placed in a room right next to building works so was very noisy + not pretty. One receptionist was amazing but the other (younger male) was very arrogant and patronising, his customer service skills lacked tremendously.

I really wanted to love this place. Rooms are very nice. Hotel was really clean. It is very nice... However this was the worst sleep we had in the UK. We had a third floor room and it was sweltering in the room. Furthermore we were facing a the street so opening the window means listening to traffic noise all night. The fan provided was not big enough to cool down the room and drown out the traffic noise. My suggestion is for the top floor rooms they invest in some larger fans and also let the windows open up a little more to let the cooler air in during the evening. Breakfast was really good. And had a good selection.
