Our stay at Miraval was wonderful. The room was stunning and up to date and the rest of the grounds were clean and well maintained. The staff was absolutely outstanding, from the restaurant to front desk to the activities. Everyone was extremely friendly and went out of their way to be accommodating. Our favorite activities included the culinary classes with Nick and hiking with Michael and Carrie. We weren't able to get into certain activities because they were full which was a bummer, however if you speak to the activities director the day before they are sometimes able to accommodate. Overall a great experience and can't wait to go back!

I had a King sized room which was half the size of the other King size rooms. I had no dresser in my room. When all of this was pointed out to the management they initially offered to change my room, I did not wish to repack and unpack and change rooms so management said they would deduct $50 per night for my whole stay, Before leaving I asked to see the final bill to make sure that the measly amount that they said they would deduct from my bill had been taken off. They refused to show me the bill and said it would be posted that night. It was posted two days later. The money they promised to take off of my room was not taken off and I had to call them and waste time trying to get it sorted out. The main dining room is poorly run. They have young inexperienced staff and you often do not get the food you ordered, like, at all. Ever. Luckily they have a buffet at breakfast and lunch. The design of the resort itself is very confusing and you will get lost while you are there. The classes I took were fun and the massages were excellent. Compared to other world class spas I have been to, Miraval has a long way to go.

I went to the Austin Miraval in April with a friend and had a fantastic time. So much so that I booked the Berkshires location for late June with my husband. I talked up Miraval so much and was so excited for my husband to have the experience and sadly we were both disappointed. To start, we were upgraded as globalist and the room was terrible. It was a cottage that was not connected to the main building. It was an older building that had a good amount of bugs and made me feel like I was staying at a rundown courtyard Marriott. The bathroom looked like it was from a Motel 6, beyond disappointing. The activities were good but so many of them were fee based, unlike the Austin location. The spa was very. nice and we did enjoy it. The food was the most disappointing. We found the food inedible at times. I had 1 good meal that I enjoyed the entire 2 full days we were there. The service wasn't great at the restaurant either. The grounds are just, meh. Maybe I was severely let down after coming from Austin. Berkshires was drivable for us so maybe we will give it a second chance sometime in the future, but based on our experience, it's not somewhere I'll be looking to get back to anytime soon.
