Had a lovely stay for my wife’s birthday present. An amazing experience that will only be enhanced once the building work has finished, but don’t let that put anyone off as the team make sure you are able to still have a fantastic experience. The Thai restaurant was exquisite, the best Thai food we have ever had. The Decadent room was a marvel and just the most beautiful room, can’t wait to book again!
Very unique rooms, very artsy and clean. We had dinner with them too;12 course Thai which was great, plenty of food for 2 people. We had the continental breakfast the following morning as they were undergoing some refurbishment, all of which was nice. Only critique is it was difficult to get hold of reception in the morning to request some things for the room. We had to call several times. Overall great experience and would recommend!
Do not stay here. Definitely far from a five star hotel. We weren’t aware that the hotel was under construction when we had our stay booked, so it felt more like a construction site than a relaxing stay- trying to swim in the very cold pool with drills and work men right next to it was far from relaxing. And the pool area looks absolutely nothing like it does in the advertisement photos. The Rooms are not in the actual hotel, they are located in one of their many other buildings in the local area, so if you want to use the pool, you have to walk across busy main roads in Beaconsfield in your robe, which was quite uncomfortable. Their speakers were broken in the dining area which we flagged to their staff as they could have just turned them off? So while trying to have a nice relaxing dinner there was a loud constant buzzing noise which made it not enjoyable at all and we rushed to finish our food to get away from it. The lighting in our room didn’t work and it was very dark gloomy and miserable- not sure if the dark lighting was to try cover up the amount of dust that was in the room- it just felt dirty and not cared for. They obviously have plumbing issues too in the main hotel as none of the toilets flushed. For the amount of money you pay for this hotel it is 100% not worth it. Sad to see as this place has some good potential but unfortunately our experience was just dreadful. Have emailed with a complaint and zero response - can see from other similar reviews they don’t take the time to sort any kind of compensation.
