We had an amazing experience at Crete Blue Boutique Hotel in Koutouloufari during our babymoon! There is honestly not a single point of criticism we could give. Georgios and his entire team made us feel like a part of their family from the moment we arrived. We also had the privilege of celebrating Easter and Easter Monday with them, and experiencing how the Greeks celebrate this special time. Being welcomed into Georgios’ family celebrations made our stay even more unforgettable. • Rooms: 10/10 – Spotlessly clean, fresh towels every day, spacious, and overall very well maintained. • Swimming Pool: 10/10 – Beautiful, clean loungers, plenty of space between beds, and a peaceful atmosphere. • Restaurant: 10/10 – Everything served is fresh and clearly prepared with love and great attention to flavor. • Breakfast: 10/10 – Definitely try the pancakes with Nutella, a must! • Staff & Service: 12/10 – Everyone is incredibly friendly and truly treats you like family. In short: the place to be for a wonderful, relaxing vacation in Crete! We couldn’t have imagined a better place to celebrate our babymoon and can’t wait to come back.
Stayed for a week and loved it. Pool, restaurant, reception areas all great. We stayed in a ground floor suite room, all clean and everything worked. Staff also great, and the food in the restaurant is recommended. Great wine list too. And the little cats roaming around are lovely. Only fault is that the walls in the accomodation blocks are not insulated and you can hear everything your neighbours get up to. We were woken each morning at 2:00am by people above us taking showers for example.
Creta Blue Boutique Hotel & Suites offered a pleasant 3-night stay in the charming village of Koutouloufari, on the eastern side of Crete. Getting there: Be aware that the drive up to the hotel involves some narrow roads, and you'll pass several construction sites with some debris closer to the property. The hotel itself: Once you arrive, the hotel's environment is lovely. While our particular room didn't have the best view, it felt cozy and comfortable, with a very spacious bathroom and a minimalist design. The only minor drawback was the air conditioning unit right outside the head of our bed, which could be a bit noisy at night. Amenities: The pool, though not huge, boasts fantastic sea views. If you want a sun lounger, I recommend heading to the pool early, as they fill up quickly, often with lively British guests. Dining: Breakfast is a highlight – you order exactly what you want from a menu, which is a great way to prevent food waste. We also had dinner at the hotel's restaurant one evening, enjoying their daily special which was delicious and reminded us a bit of Chinese braised pork rice. Location: The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to the lively village of Koutouloufari, which has plenty of great restaurants. Overall, despite the minor inconveniences, Creta Blue offers a relaxing and comfortable stay with great food and a lovely atmosphere once you're settled in.
