Good Hotel to stay... Staff & Owner behaviour with customer is nice & friendly. Hotel is in prime location & very safe & peaceful to stay. I can recommend this everyone to book.

This once was a beautiful place, not anymore. So sad that a stunning house is neglected so much. I love history and was so impressed with the big gates and the pillars on the outside. Unfortunately our room was a disaster. Very smelly, very dusty!!!! Only the remnants left of a once glamorous 5 star hotel. The air-conditioning didn't work, the pillows were old and lumpy, the sheets were too small for the bed. The microwave was above the fridge, close to the roof. No way that I could reach. I had to wash the kettle, the dust on the lid was sticky. So disappointed. What was supposed to be an upgrade turned out to be a downgrade. Till today I have not heard from Clinton, the owner/manager. We had to deal with Jackson, who was very kind. We moved out the following morning, we were offered a different room, but no thank you. No hopes of getting our money back. Not even a response from Clinton or Monique from Lekkerslaap. Just silence!! I will use neither again.

I have been dying to write this review,theres not even a single star that the place deserves,my story is very long but to keep it short,this is a no go area,i cannot recommend the place to anyone,stayed there from Sept 2014 to Feb 31 2025,i even had to go the legal way to get my deposit back.The owner is mean to the last degree.We exchanged words few time and the other time i asked him i dont know what i did to deserve the bad treatment i was recieving,he said tome he is not God and this is Africa,by that time my toilet was blocked and the feases wee coming out of the shower,and he send one of the cleaners to clean,he said his plumbers are in Joburg,believe you me the guy did not even bother,the plumbers came the following afternoon,meanwhile i was telling him that its not hygienic since i was staying with a 12yr old boy,i had to stay home for the boy not to use the bathroom until it was fixed the following day.The place is old,everything,the furniture,cleaning services very poor,no shades for parking,i paid for the 2nd remote for the gate and the gate got stuck,it only worked towards the period when i was leaving.I hated this place with all my heart,had to drive home every weeknd for 6 months just to find peace.
