Cristal Hotel Palermo

This hotel is extremely old with not a very welcoming staff. The breakfast is terrible and the same every day ! Our card kept on not working to open the door every day so we had to go up and down several times a day which was exhausting ! No special treatment for silver / Gold members. The internet is bad in the rooms. The only positive point is the location - less than 10 min to the centre ( Teatro Massimo). Will not book again. Staff should be more welcoming . The rooms have to be renovated and sound proof. It looks like something from the 70s. Tea and water should be refilled everyday in the rooms. The breakfast should offer more fresh products and slightly change every day ( sausage one day, ham the next etc...or scrambled eggs one day , fried eggs the next ...) I stayed for 6 nights and it was quite terrible ( breakfast staff is very nice). It does not reflect the Accor standards and values to be honest. The worst Accor hotel I have been so far.

This was one of the most stressful travel experiences I’ve had. We found bedbugs in our hotel room late at night and were told nothing could be done. As three young women, we had to wander around Palermo after midnight looking for a new place to stay. The hotel offered no real help and no follow-up, despite promising us a refund. Staff dismissed our concern as if it didn’t matter. Absolutely unacceptable and deeply disappointing

i have no idea how this hotel has 4 stars, it should have 2. i've stayed at hostels that felt cleaner than this. our room was covered in bugs (spiders), we were given dirty/stained towels, and there was a curtain in the shower that got soaking wet every time you showered and made the whole room and bathroom smell like mildew and wet dog. the curtain is probably moldy. don't recommend at all!!!!
