I drink here because the beer is cold and it's the people that make the pub. never stayed a night here. I've only eaten the bar baskets, and they were good. Pokies, TAB, 2 pool tables, dart boards and BINGO rippers for a gold coin
For the price you pay.. It kind of tells you before you arrive its going to be a tavern stay. My bed was comfortable, staff were great. Didn't get kept awake by noise (Thurs night). Could see they are trying to upgrade. My room had fresh towels, curtains good. Thanks guys, kitchen clean and coffee appreciated. My 4 star based on comfortable, not decor. At least for drivers who need a pillow, they offer an affordable nights rest.
Staff were very polite and helpful. Place was clean and tidy enough but the place needs a major tidy up. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, rips in the curtains and holes in the walls. The bathroom could have done with a tidy up as well. Our room had very little toilet paper. And I was quite grossed out to discover our bed had just an electric blanket and a sheet on-top of the mattress. No mattress or pillow protectors. Would not stay any longer than 1 night.
