Crossbasket Castle Hotel & Restaurant

We had afternoon tea here and we had a lovely time. It had been recommended by a friend. Although the food was very good, it's really the service that deserves a special mention. It was excellent! Each member of staff we dealt with was cheery, engaging and attentive, without being over the top in any way. It made a huge difference and it's evident that time is spent training the staff properly. Kudos goes to the hotel and to each member of staff. Perfect! Thank you.

Beautiful setting outside Glasgow especially for early Edinburgh flight. The staff were friendly and helpful. They packed us a takeaway breakfast for a 6 am departure. The restaurant jazz club was superb. Afternoon tea was a lovely treat. The gardens pristine.

Visiting from the US. Stayed in the castle one night then moved to the hotel. Castle is very posh and hotel very nice. Plenty of room for all three of us in the suite in the castle, but they book for no more than two-to-a-room so we had to get two rooms. Breakfast is in the hotel and very good. A nice menu of cooked food and lots of drinks, espresso machine, yogurt and even a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar. Afternoon in the castle was also very nice. The only thing keeping me from the fifth star for location is that it’s a cab ride in any direction if you want to do anything or eat anywhere besides the property.
