Crown Hotel Stamford

Highly recommend the Crown. Weeks before we arrived, we had an email to say that the restaurant was filling up for the night we'd be staying, and did we want to reserve a table. That's real attention to detail. Parking is limited, first come, first served, and there's just one ground floor bedroom, so those with mobility issues should be aware. Every single member of staff was superb. Thoughtful, helpful, and informative. Several went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Lovely place, lovely people!

Gorgeous hotel set right in the middle of beautiful Stamford. Great food , beer and lovely outside seating/eating/drinking area. Has its own car park attached. Rooms are amazing , beautifully decorated and very clean. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. We have stayed here twice and would not go anywhere else. Very reasonably priced.

Our first room did not have a shower, only a (very pretty) standalone bathtub, which was awkwardly positioned in the open, within the room, adjacent to the windows. To make this worse, construction scaffolding was erected outside our window. When we asked the front desk if another room was available, they were very gracious and moved us to another room, which had a shower and no scaffolding outside its windows. Breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in beautiful Stamford.
