Crown & Punchbowl

I now eat at the Crown and Punchbowl fairly regularly. I like it the most out of the very good value Camcuisine pub/restaurants (I've tried them all). It has a lovely atmosphere and decor. The staff are excellent and seem to enjoy their job and provide good service. You are never rushed and the food is always good quality. All this and for those of you with Gothic leanings, the patio overlooks a graveyard. I would like to see some more offerings on the menu suitable for summer (lighter etc), and unless I am mistaken there used to be more specials? But that's a minor quibble. I have eaten out all over Cambridge (admittedly Cambridge is not great for food), and whilst this is not "fine dining" I think it offers the best balance of value for money, quality and ambience in the Cambridge area.

We stayed a night in this lovely pub after a visit to Cambridge. It was a short drive to get there from the city, but the thatched roof houses and quaint village made you feel like you were a world away. The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival and the standard double room was more then big enough for a night's stay. There were lots of amenities in the room, and a very comfy bed with lovely cotton sheets. The evening meal had a varied menu and was delicious with great service too. We would definitely reccomend a visit.

Wow had an amazing 2 nights stay here. Room was lovely, air conditioned and clean. Meals were amazing, staff so friendly and cannot fault this place. Would definitely recommend and happy to stay again. Thank you 😀
