Crowne Plaza Canberra

Check-in was a bit hectic at first, but zom was very kind and helpful in arranging our room, and another staff member (whose name I can’t recall) also assisted us. I think she try on her best. The breakfast buffet was perfect, even my picky partner enjoyed it. Thank you to the staff for doing their best. One small suggestion: some front desk staff could use a softer tone , there’s no need to respond to every comment, as a gentle approach can go a long way.

Dinner was tasty, but the portion was extremely small. I ordered the steak with mushroom sauce, and it came with half a potato and a tiny piece of leek. We also had the duck, which came with a delicious sauce and two very small carrots. To actually feel full, you’d need to order an extra side like a salad or steamed vegetables. Breakfast was buffet-style — varied and delicious. There were fresh fruits, assorted pastries — all pretty standard but with a great selection. I was pleasantly surprised to see dairy-free options available, even margarine placed next to regular butter — something you don’t see often. Overall, not bad. The room was clean, though it’s clear everything is a bit dated.
