Crowne Plaza Caparica Lisbon by IHG

We just returned from a trip to Portugal. At the recommendation of a local friend we stayed outside the city and picked this hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay. The location is great. Easy to get to from the airport. The property is really well-organized. The staff at the front desk really awesome (thank you ladies). Our room was very clean, complete, and had beautiful sunset views from our balcony. There was more than enough seating at the pool. The spa visit was a hit. The beach recommendations even better. Breakfast is ample and European style, with lots of variation. Fresh fruit. Fresh croissants. Lovely coffee. If you don't find at least 10 things you like, you're not looking. Best of all, it doesn't close too early and they don't chase you out if you arrive last minute. Dinner at the hotel is also really good. (Is there ANY bad food in Portugal? We didn't see it!). We had our own car, but their suggestion to take drive to the ferries to Belem and Lisbon, instead of driving into town was golden. I'm 100% certain we'll be back. I'm embarrassed to say that we forgot all of the names of everyone we interacted with, so I will name none, but thank you front desk ladies, breakfast people, cleaning staff, super friendly doorman, and happy man with the glasses!

Phenomenal location, and value! A full resort for a very reasonable price. I loved the indoor heated pool for lap exercise. Wife loved the full gym. Breakfast was nice. Very relaxed atmosphere and not too far from Lisbon although there are lots of delays due to construction. Free parking! Did I say this place is a great value yet?? For us Americans: this is not like the old ugly Crown Plazas we have back home, it's a full blown resort.

We loved this hotel! Clean rooms, friendly staff, great food, and our girls LOVED the kids club! We all got massages that were great! They even have 30 minute massages for kids with chocolate and strawberry scented lotions! Our 5 and 9 year olds felt SO cool getting those! :) The outdoor pool was really cold but the indoor pool was awesome!
