We got married in this hotel. I didn't know there was a Crown Hotel near here before because it's in Shuangliu District. The platform only recommended hotels in the five urban districts to me. I saw it when I was passing by. The hotel is so grand, the service is great, and the room is so comfortable. I really want to stay here all the time and don't want to go out. It's only been opened for less than a year. It's new and high-end. It's also very well equipped for weddings. The food is delicious and the table is beautiful.
I can't say anything but wonderful things about this hotel where I've spent the last three weeks! Wonderful people, who shine for their simplicity and desire to help, serve, and smile—they're wonderful! (An example: they delayed my flight and I was going to be late for the next one; no problem, they contacted me and got an English-speaking assistant to solve the problem!) Breakfast of all colors and with two xie xies (thanks), you couldn't have smiled more! 10/10, I'll be back!
I was genuinely surprised to learn that this hotel is rated only three stars. It features a spacious lobby, generously sized rooms, and large bathrooms—with even a separate bathtub, which is quite a luxury at this category. That said, I found the choice of carpet color in my room rather unsettling—it resembled a large, dark stain that gave off the impression of a crime scene from a horror movie. While likely unintentional, it was visually unpleasant. The room itself was otherwise comfortable, but unfortunately, it reeked of cigarette smoke. The lingering smoke odor made my stay uncomfortable. I requested a room change, but was told no alternatives were available. I had to endure four nights with the smell, which was disappointing—particularly because it felt like more could have been done. The lack of empathy from the front desk left a negative impression, especially when comfort and responsiveness are so critical in hospitality. On a more positive note, the breakfast area is spacious and offers an extensive selection that can satisfy a wide range of tastes. However, the coffee situation needs improvement—there were frequent queues for the machines, which appeared either too few or too slow for the morning rush. Overall, while the hotel has many strong features that exceed typical three-star expectations, guest comfort and service responsiveness need attention to truly elevate the experience.
