Great hotel. I frequent the IHG family and this one is a go to for Glasgow. A short walk to the exhibition train station and along a beautiful river walk trail. Bus stop just down the street for getting to old town or the west end. The lounge and workout out/pool area is nice. The breakfast was great too. Will be coming back.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. Bed was large and comfortable, sofa bed, mini fridge etc. shower was good and plenty of room to have our suitcase out. I would give 4.5/5 stars only because the location is about 5km out of the city which in busy traffic can take 20 minutes. Otherwise can’t fault the stay, staff were lovely and helpful.

Decent but overall a bit shabby and run down with some weird infrastructural and service issues while we were there. One of the three lifts, one was completely out of order for 24 hours. Presumably waiting on a part or a tech at the weekend but the other two felt like they might give up the ghost at any moment and I nearly got stuck in a service lift after it wouldn’t open. Mohammed on night reception was a star and a real bright spot. He did his absolute best to keep customers happy and make things right. Music (thumping dance tracks) in the restaurant area in the evening was just offputting. No one seemed to be benefitting from it. Could be used to improve the vibe but instead took away from it. They do that thing that some hotels do where adults can’t order from the kids menu if they’re only a little bit hungry and they don’t offer half/starter portions of main courses. Just why? There were some of the lights in our room we couldn’t turn off unless we flicked a switch down on the floor outside the bathroom. I’ve come across some crazy hotel lighting schemes but this was a first. Decent value (watch the £27/day parking charge) and it wasn’t objectively bad overall but if I was in Glasgow again in the next 12 months I probably would try somewhere else, even though I’m an IHG loyalty member
